Join us on Monday morning, October 13, beginning at 8:15 a.m. for Pie for Breakfast and the Latte Cart (opening at 7:30 a.m. for you early risers!) New this year, we will be playing a video featuring Westside School students, and we invite you to help us put together a giant participation puzzle as well. The deadline for pledges is October 31, with payments accepted through the end of this academic year. Thank you for your support!
The Middle School will be hosting a Parent Orientation about Haiku – the student management system – on Thursday, October 16 and on Monday, October 20. To learn more about Haiku and details about scheduled meetings, click here!
Middle School Conferences, starting the afternoon of October 29, begin at 4:00 p.m. and continue through Friday, October 31 at 3:00 p.m. The format for conferences is similar to last year, with students and parents meeting individually with teachers. Sign up will take place through Sign Up Genius, and link to sign up will be sent on Monday, October 13.
Finally, on Friday, October 10, approximately 500 educators will be attending the NWAIS Fall Educators Conference in Portland, OR. Our very own sixth grade humanities teacher, Glyn Jenkins, has been selected from a competitive pool of teaching talent to present two sessions at the conference. Glyn will host an interactive workshop that explores strategies for “Implementing a Growth Mindset, Grit, and Character Education in Elementary and Middle Schools.” Congratulations Glyn!
ERB testing is this week; a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast are the order of the day!

All unclaimed items will be donated to charity quarterly. Our first donation for this academic year will be Monday, November 3.
