Friday, November 21: Picture retake day; Westside School SPIRIT Wear and Pizza Day
Tuesday, November 25: Grandparents’ and Grandfriends’ Day, 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, November 26 through Sunday, November 30: Thanksgiving Vacation, NO SCHOOL
We hope everyone loves their picture from Picture Day! However, there is a second opportunity to capture the best smile. Picture retake day is scheduled for Friday, November 21. Pictures will be taken in the morning between 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. If your student wishes to retake their photo, please have them bring their packet of pictures so LifeTouch can retake their photo and send you a new packet. If your student was absent from school on Picture Day, please be sure they are present for Picture retake day on Friday, November 21! This is a Westside School SPIRIT and Pizza Day. Please have your student dress for Picture Day if they are having their photo taken. If you have any questions please contact Jessica (jessicab@westsideschool.org.)
Westside Insider Lower School
The Lower School Exhibition of Learning is next Thursday, November 13, 2014, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Our focus for this event will be on Math and Science. Please join your child in his/her classroom to learn new math games, explore science projects, look at student work and provide an opportunity for your child to be the “teacher.” There is no formal program, so please feel free to drop in any time during the hour-long event. We look forward to seeing you and your student!
Westside Insider Middle School
The Middle School Exhibition of Learning, scheduled for Thursday, November 20, begins at 6:30 p.m. All students who take Chinese, and their families, will start in the MPR. Students in Spanish, and their families, begin in the gym. Students should arrive having eaten dinner just prior to 6:30 p.m. For students, this is a dress for success event. We look forward to seeing you there! A special invitation has been extended to Westside School fourth grade students and their families. Come enjoy the opportunity learn more about the Westside School Middle School experience!
The Westside School Middle School Student Council is excited to announce the winter dance from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5 at Dakota Place. Any student wishing to attend will need to turn in a signed permission form by Tuesday, November 25 to Susannah.
Students are expected to stay the entire dance and will need to be picked up promptly at 8:00 p.m. Each student is allowed to bring one Middle School aged guest, who must be added to their permission form.
The theme of the dance is Formal Black and White so tell your students to dress up! W are looking for parent volunteers to provide snacks or help with security at the dance. If you have any questions or can help out please contact Susannah (susannahm@westsideschool.org) or Mary (maryk@westsideschool.org.)
To date we have participation from 78% of Westside School parents! Thank you for your generous support.
If you missed the October 31 deadline, there is still time to get in on the participation match. Please help your class get to 100% participation – Westside School will receive $1,000 for every class that hits 100%.
