Middle School Winter Musical
Dear Westside School parents,
We are hearing strong and persistent reports the anticipated storm will bring high winds, heavy rain, street flooding, fallen trees, unsafe driving conditions and possible power outages to the Seattle/Puget Sound area, beginning around 6:00 p.m. tonight.
To keep students and families safe, we made the difficult decision late this morning to cancel tonight’s performance of the Middle School Musical, Aladdin. Other schools in the Seattle area are making similar proactive choices. We would like you to stay warm, dry and together in your homes tonight. The students will be doing their run through/dress rehearsal as planned at 1:30 p.m. today for Lower School students and their Middle School classmates. We invite parents of cast members who are available at 1:30 p.m. to come by if you wish to see the show today.
We plan to proceed with the Friday night performance tomorrow, December 12, as scheduled. We may need to squish a bit, but we will look forward to seeing you all there. Families of cast members will have priority in the audience. The children have worked hard and it is a great show.
To Extended Day Families: Our extended day program will run as usual until 6:00 p.m, but if you have an opportunity to pick up your child(ren) earlier than usual, please try to do so. We would like to close the building and send our staff home by 6:15 p.m.
