World Language International Trips
We are very excited to announce the details for next year’s Westside School World Language International Trips to China and Nicaragua! The trips will be open to seventh and eighth grade students and parents, and will take place during spring break 2016. Both of these trips will emphasize language and cultural immersion and have a service learning component.
Mary Kratz and Michelle Ma will be hosting a meeting to share more details about the trips on June 3, 2015 at 5:45 p.m. in the Middle School Spanish classroom, room 405. The Exhibition of Learning will start after the meeting at 6:30 p.m. We hope you can join us!
The Sound of Music
We look forward to the spectacular talents of our Middle School students performing The Sound of Music this week. You have two opportunities to enjoy this performance, we hope to see you on Thursday or Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the MPR.
Stay tuned to the next edition of the Insider newsletter for updates regarding the important events coming up in June!

Field Day! Volunteers Still Needed for Lower School Field Day

Westside School Field Day is coming up next Friday, May 29! This is a great outdoor day full of old-fashioned, playground fun organized by our own P.E. dynamos, Donna Jornlin and Mike Thomas. Volunteers are still needed to make the Lower School Field Day a success! Please click here to sign up. Westside School Field Day starts with a pizza lunch followed by a round of games in the afternoon from walking in gooey ooblek to obstacle courses. Don’t forget the time honored, fourth grade doughnut eating event!

An important calendar note about the day for kindergarten students: As a reminder and heads up, each year the kindergarten classes have a later dismissal on Field Day. Students will be dismissed at 3:15 p.m. instead of 2:45 p.m
Lost & Found
Please stop by in the next couple of weeks to check the Lost and Found, located just to the right and down the stairs from the MPR. One final round of donations will be made on Thursday, June 11. All remaining items will be donated to charity.
