Pre-kindergarten took their first field trip to observe fall color, get out into the country side, and ride horses. The sister of Westside School pre-kindergarten Claudia generously invited Westside School students to their mini farm to ride horses and be out in the great outdoors. They had perfect weather too! The students and teachers carpooled to the farm, ran around, collected leaves and then ate lunch. After lunch students learned about the different kinds of tack used with the horses; saddles, bridles, halters, saddle blankets, curry combs and brushes. Everyone who wanted a turn on the horse was able to ride, and some children chose to go with an adult. What a great time on a beautiful fall day!
