Westside School Bus Information Night

Tuesday, February 2, 2016, 8:45 a.m.

The results from our recent survey suggest a strong interest in a dedicated bus service to Westside School for the 2016 – 2017 school year. Julie Burrell from King County Metro will be here on Tuesday, February 2 at 8:45 a.m. to describe the service, answer your questions, and address any concerns. Metro is a long time provider of bus service to Lakeside School, University Prep, Evergreen School and many more. We encourage all interested parents to attend.
If you are interested in attending, please sign up here . For questions, please contact Ted Holmes (tedh@westsideschool.org)

We invite all third grade parents to an information session tonight, beginning at 6:30 p.m., regarding the upcoming spring camping trip. If you did not have the opportunity to attend this morning’s meeting, please join us this evening in Jana DeShazo’s third grade classroom.

As a reminder, report cards will be mailed next week!

Insider middle school

This Friday the fifth and sixth grade advisories will have a workshop with the Red Cross on disaster response and first aid. Seventh and eighth grade advisory groups will have the same workshop the following Friday, January 29.

Snow Day is coming on Thursday, February 11! There will be both a snow shoeing option and a skiing option. The ski option requires purchasing a lift ticket with further options of lessons and equipment rentals. Lessons will be about three hours long. The details are being sorted with Crystal Mountain and we will send out updates as available. If you have not yet completed the form with your child’s option and, where applicable, payment information please contact Jeremy (jeremyl@westsideschool.org) or Glyn (glynj@westsideschool.org) as soon as possible.

Congratulations to the 2016 winner of the Westside School round of the National Geographic Geography Bee, Drew Lightbody!
